Employer Sponsor Visa
Australia’s employer-sponsored visa pathway offers skilled overseas workers the opportunity to live and work in Australia through nomination by an approved Australian employer. This program addresses labour shortages by allowing businesses to sponsor qualified candidates in occupations where local talent is limited. Two main visa options exist under this pathway. The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa – Subclass 482 allows workers to fill temporary positions, with the possibility of transitioning to permanent residency.
The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa – Subclass 186 provides a direct permanent residency route for eligible applicants. To qualify for these visas, applicants must demonstrate the required skills, relevant work experience, English language proficiency, and hold a valid nomination from an eligible employer. Many skilled migrants begin with the Subclass 482 visa and later transition to the Subclass 186 visa after meeting the necessary criteria. This pathway offers a structured and strategic approach to securing long-term residence in Australia.
